At Umbrella Group Great Southern Inc, part of our mission is to provide shelter and support to homeless individuals in our community. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to call home, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality.
Kassidy utech aged 22 from Denmark is Busking her way around Australia with just her dog for company. Kassidy was someone who would have benefitted from our MIYAD Wheels program as she didn't have support in building her logbook hours. She worked tirelessly to get her licence herself and lives in her van which is in need of repairs. Kassidy is so excited that she will now be able to afford to get her van fixed and have extra funds to buy food and petrol to see more of our beautiful country.

Our Primary Project is the MIYAD Wheels Program (Previously Wheels for Work)
Training disadvantaged individuals to become more independent and confident in their abilities, providing them a service that they cannot afford or have the support to undertake on a commercial level.
We will teach them the skills to operate and maintain a manual or automatic vehicle and assist them with obtaining their drivers license with the purpose of removing the barrier to employment, and to improve their employability.
The longterm benefit to these individuals would be to improve their lives with more opportunities for employment and social interaction.
