At MIYAD Wheels, we offer different types of support to make driving lessons accessible to everyone.
Keys for Life – Free Program
Keys for Life is a free, engaging pre-driver education program designed to help individuals gain the knowledge needed to start their driving journey. This program not only prepares participants for the Learner’s Permit Theory Test but also builds confidence in road safety and responsible driving.
DAEP – Fully Funded Driving Support
The Driver Access & Equity Program (DAEP) provides fully funded driving lessons for eligible learners. This program covers all costs associated with learning to drive, including access to two dedicated DAEP vehicles.
What does DAEP funding cover?
- Free driving lessons with a qualified instructor.
- All costs related to DAEP vehicles, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
- Licence and document fees where no other funding applies.
DAEP funding is strictly for approved clients and cannot be used for non-DAEP services, but for those who are eligible can get their licence for free
Financial Hardship – Partial Assistance
For those who don’t qualify for DAEP but are still facing financial hardship, MIYAD Wheels offers partial subsidies to make lessons more affordable.
Who qualifies?
- Individuals who can demonstrate financial hardship but do not meet DAEP criteria.
- Clients who need support to cover some of the costs of learning to drive.
Subsidy amounts vary based on circumstances, and we assess each case individually to ensure support is provided where needed.
NDIS-Funded Driving Support
NDIS clients can access driving lessons through their allocated NDIS funding, with support tailored to their needs.
How does it work?
- NDIS funding is managed by the client’s coordinator and can be used for driving lessons.
- MIYAD Wheels provides specialised support to help NDIS clients gain independence through driving.
- Our team works closely with NDIS coordinators to ensure lessons are structured to meet each client’s individual goals.
Full Fee – Standard Driving Lessons
For those who do not qualify for any of the above programs but still need their licence, MIYAD Wheels offers full-fee driving lessons with professional instructors.
